The first day focused on the re‑use of public sector information, including the legal framework, the relationship between open data and data protection, and real examples of how public information is used.
The second day examined how to distinguish FOI requests from GDPR Article 15 access requests, comparing their scope, legal bases, deadlines, and refusal grounds. Participants also discussed access to log data and the responsibilities of supervisory authorities.
The workshop strengthened cooperation between European authorities and highlighted how shared learning helps ensure more transparent, consistent and citizen‑friendly access to public information.
